2010 NYE and Beyond - Celebrations in the CityChristmas Light Projections start on 26 November and run until 25 December 2009.
From 8.30 pm every night Sydney Town Hall will have changing light projections with an Australian 12 Days of Christmas. On show are twelve uniquely Australian Christmas images that will light up the facade of the historic building :
Historic buidings along Macquarie street will also be illuminated with coloured projections.

Sydney Festival First Night is on Saturday 9 January 2010Sydney Festival First Night will again this year preface the famous annual Sydney Festival ( 9 January 2010 - 30 January 2010 ) and reclaim the streets in Central Sydney for people to enjoy FREE music, dance and performance in parks, laneways and public spaces .
The 2010 Chinese New Year Twilight Parade is on 21 February celebrationg the Year of the Tiger

The Town Hall will be the striking backdrop for 2009 Christmas projections.
More then 1.5 million people are expected to join the NYE celebrations with entertainment beginning at 5pm and Family Fireworks at 9pm, followed by the Harbour of Light Parade and the midnight Fireworks display.
More than 100,000 people are expected to celebrate the Year of the Tiger at the Parade. The City of Sydney's Chinese New Year Festival is running from 12 -28 February. The Festival is the largest celebration of the Lunar New Year outside of Asia with more than 50 events over three weeks.
